Warning 1655 und Error 1126

  • Hallo Leute,

    KB 875495 benutzt. Danach KB 216498 um Reste zu entfernen.

    Repadmin /syncall läuft ohne Probleme.
    DCdiag /e /fix zeigt keine Fehler an.
    DCdiag /testDNS ist auch OK.

    EVENT VIEWER:
    Information: ID 1869: Active Directory has located a GC.
    Warning: ID 1655: AD attempted to communicate with the GC and the attempt was
    unsuccessful.
    Error: ID 1126: AD was unable to establish a connection with the GC.

    Bitte um Hilfe. Vielen herzlichen Dank.
    Wolfhard Aring

    Gruss

  • Domain structure:

    DCroot
    DC11 DC12 ----- DC3 ----- DC5

    (one root DC which is a GC)
    (three sub domains, all GCs except DC12)
    (DC11 and DC12 in same domain, DC11 is the pdc)

    Domain Controller connections: automatically generated

    DC11 - DC12 - DC3 - DCroot - DC5 - DC11
    DC12 - DC5

    If I run repadmin /syncall on each of the DCs I get errors except on DCroot where I dont get any errors.
    However the errors do not occur for the same links:

    Running command on ----- replication failure
    DCroot ----- none
    DC11 ----- DCroot --> DC5
    DC12 ----- DCroot --> DC5
    DC3 ----- DC5 --> DC12 and DC11 --> DC12
    DC5 ----- DC3 --> DCroot

    Is this a problem?
    Thanks a lot for any help.
    Kind regards
    Wolfhard

    regarding your first question (ID 1126 und 1655) i have some ideas.

    assuming that each DC is also DNS server (unfortunately this information is not present) i would configure as primary DNS server of each of your DC´s a DNS server that is not the local one. By this you ensure that DNS is available when Directory services are starting.

    All DC´s should point to the same WINS server. If WINS service is also located on one DC, the Wins configuration of this DC should point to himself.

    what is the result when executing
    repadmin /showreps?
    You should mainly investigate the "inbound connection" part. Each incomming connection should be succesful.

    Do you also have the events 5784 (Source Netlogon) just before event 1126? Do these events told that some AD sites do not have a DC of the Root-Domain?

    I don't think that you have a major problem, because we also have sometimes these kind of messages (also multi-domain forest).

    can you show us a AD site topology plan (which DC is located in which site)?

    Kind regards
