IMAP Konto Exchange

    Hallo,

    da hab ich noch was gefunden:

    Sorry für das englische, aber ich habe momentan keine Zeit zum übersetzen.

    The following errors occur intermittently when multiple IMAP accounts connecting to
    the same IMAP server are defined in a single profile in Outlook 2003. These
    connectivity errors do not occur in Outlook Express. These connectivity errors do
    not in Outlook when using POP3 to connect to the same server running IMAP. The
    IMAP server is not down when these messages occur.

    <Symptom 1>
    The Outlook Send/Receive Progress dialog reports the following on the Errors tab.

    Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on <username>.' reported error
    (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null) from the IMAP e-mail
    server for account <username>. Error: Unable to connect to the server. If you
    continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet
    service provider (ISP).'

    <Symptom 2>
    Outlook pop-up dialog box error:
    The server has refused the connection.

    <Symptom 3>
    Outlook pop-up balloon message:
    Microsoft Office Outlook
    A connection to the server could not be established. imap.domain.com is now in
    offline mode.

    <Symptom 4>
    With IMAP logging enabled in Outlook, the following message is reported in the IMAP
    logs when the issue occurs.

    IMAP: 11:08:05 [db] ERROR: "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
    Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long
    period of inactivity.", hr=2148322319

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

    In this particular case, the IMAP server was located on the internet and the
    Outlook 2003 client was on a SBS 2003/ISA 2000 network. The remote IMAP server was
    a Linux server running Courier-IMAP from Double Precision, Inc. However, this
    issue could be reproduced with an Exchange IMAP server.

    1. Changed the automatic send/receive setting in Outlook from 10 minutes to 8
    minutes as the IMAP server also had a timeout of 10 minutes. This would sometimes
    disconnect the Outlook IMAP client without warning if the server reached the 10
    minute timeout before the Outlook client did.

    2. Changed a setting for the maximum simultaneous connections for a single IP
    address from 4 to 10 on the IMAP server. In this particular case, the customer had
    4 IMAP accounts defined that were all connecting to the same IMAP server. This
    allowed Outlook to reliably connect to the IMAP server for all the accounts without
    exceeding the maximum simultaneous connections for a single IP address defined on
    the IMAP server. (See the More Information section below for an explanation).

    More Information:
    ================
    While watching the Current Sessions for the Default IMAP4 Virtual Server in
    Exchange 2003 while an Outlook 2003 client connects to it via IMAP, the Outlook
    client would create 1-2 sessions to the server for each IMAP account. Outlook
    Express would only create 1 session.

    With multiple IMAP accounts defined in Outlook, Outlook would also make the
    connections to the IMAP server simultaneously. With multiple IMAP accounts defined
    in Outlook Express, Outlook Express would make the connections to the server
    synchronously or one at a time. So, with Outlook Express there was never more than
    1 connection from a single IP address at a time. In Outlook 2003 with 4 IMAP
    accounts defined, there would be anywhere from 4-8 connections from a single IP
    address. This would sometimes exceed the maximum simultaneous connections for a
    single IP address defined on the IMAP server.

  • Merci für die schnelle Antwort.....

    English ist kein Problem...

    Also liegt der Fehler eher an Outlook als am Server.... ich liebe es.....
    Drum arbeite ich haupsächlich mit nem MAC....

    Auf jeden Fall läuft es mit Outlook Express wie geschmiert..... und so reicht es auch...
